The 2010 Campaign/Election

The 2010 Campaign will be coming to an end on November 2, 2010.  For the last three week I have seen commercials about why you should vote for a canidate or why you shouldn't vote for a canidate.  But what doesn't make sense is why when i see some of the and they give the cons of what one canidate is doing and then you have to wait to watch another commercial to understand what that person is going to do better, and sometimes you might see a commercial saying what one canidate did wrong and what the other canidate did right.  Like just a few days ago i was watching television and I happened to come past a commercial by Ted Strickland.  In this commercial he talked about how he was going to bring back jobs and money to the State of Ohio.  Five minutes later I watched a commercial by Kasich running against Strickland and it said that Ted Strickland had lost Ohio over 400,000 jobs and other things he did wrong and then said what Kasich did.  Finally i saw one last commercial before i left and it was about how Kasich who is running agianst Strickland lost Ohio tons of money.  The campaign this year might be competative but in my eyes you don't know who to actually vote for for Ohio's govenor.  Do you believe one commercial or do you believe the other one.  In my eyes the campaign this year is all about is to bring money and jobs back or to get the economy back on its feet.  When the people go and vote this Tuesday give some thought into who your voting for.  Think about the true facts you know about each canidate.  Also go by which party in government you support in the most.  Don't go to the polls and just vote for the person everyone else is voting for, but listen to your heart.  Go and vote for the person who you think will make the state of Ohio and or America better in the next few years.  The choice is yours and it will always be yours.  Just go out and be apart of the changing of America by voting for someone in the 2010 Election on Tuesday November 2, 2010.

Freedom of Religion

You get your freedom of religion from your First Amendment rights.  But what is the point of this right.  In my mind this right gives the right to support your religion and express your thoughts about your religion. Not all religions are the same but u need to respect their beliefs as equal as you respect your beliefs.  Religion is important to many people they attend their religous ceremonies and some go around towns and express their thoughts to people by going door to door.  They also do other things to express their thoughts.  Like when i went to Kent State University for a college fair.  There were a few people around the campus who had signs and were explaining there view on God and stuff like that.  Some other people were passing out little Bibles to the students.  It was really something new to me.  I have never seen people so involved in expression and supporting their relgion.  It had me think what do i believe in when it comes to religion.  After a few days of thinking i figured it out.  I'm a Catholic who believes in God, but i don't fully believe in what the Church tells you or in what the Bible says.  Religion is a really important thing in America.  Religion brings people toghther to help others and is what makes people different in life.  The First Amendment right of religion needs to be taken serious which it is.  I say this because your religion can help on a college application or just in general, like if you need to talk to someone.  Your Holy Place will be thier for you if u just want to pray or if you want to speak to someone.  Freedom of Religion is something you will always want because the religion you support will always be your choice and not someone elses.
